HAIHAPPEN - Das Sharks Interview - Teil 25 Nick Rimmer

1.) Stell dich bitte kurz vor:

Nick Rimmer, 32, United States Army (Human Resources Technician)

2.) Welche Aufgabe/Position hast/hattest du bei den Sharks?

Wingback, Defensive Back

3.) Wie bist du zu den Sharks gekommen?

I joined the Sharks midseason 2011 (first game June 2011 vs Schweinfurt). I found out about the team from Jimmy Post who was a friend from Bamberg Warner Barracks. I joined the Erlangen Sharks because of my love for football and the program Jimmy told me about.

4.) Was fasziniert dich an der Sportart American Football?

Everything fascinates me. I love the hitting, the catching, the running….THE ADRENALINE!!!

5.) Dein schönster Sharks-Moment?

My greatest moment was when I ran an interception back for a touchdown against Landsberg during our regular season home game and it was called back due to a block in the back…lol!
My best moment was playing on the defense along with Dani, Mike Kindley, Big Chris, Mike (Muah) (Anm. d. Red. gemeint ist wohl der Mü) and the rest of that mean green fighting machine defense. My most beautiful SHARKS moment was when I played my final game with the Sharks. I was presented a gift of the #33 blue jersery and a SHARKS football signed by the team. I really miss the Erlangen Sharks.

6.) Was hast du bei den Sharks für's Leben gelernt?

A life lesson that I learned was in reference to the sport of football. I've never run the Double Wing offense. It was something new for me. I've never seen it live in action either. Jens introduced this to me and I now have a new respect for that offense. I also never knew “onside kick” and always going for two point conversions would and could get us so far. All of these are things I would incorporate in my offense if I was to ever coach the game of football.

7.) Möchtest du noch was loswerden?

I LOVE and MISS the SHARKS very very very much!!! Good luck in this year’s season!!! FAST, HARD, FINISH!!! SHUT UP AND PLAY BALL!!!!
